Position Summary
Under the general supervision of the Director of Outpatient Clinics and in collaboration with supervising physicians, the Advanced Practice Provider (APP) delivers high-quality, patient-centered outpatient care. The APP works closely with providers, nursing staff, and support teams to ensure efficient clinic operations, quality improvement, and an exceptional patient experience.
Required Qualifications
· Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or ARC-PA Physician Assistant program; Master’s degree required for NP.
· Current national board certification (AANP, ANCC, NCCPA, or equivalent).
· Unrestricted Arizona license as a PA or Advanced Practice Nurse.
· Meets hospital privileging criteria and payer credentialing requirements.
· Demonstrated recent clinical competence through patient care or recent clinical training.
· Current DEA Certificate.
· Current CPR certification (AHA Healthcare Provider or equivalent).
· Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and full HIPAA compliance.
· Demonstrated professionalism, communication, accountability, and commitment to high-quality care.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with Meditech or other EHR systems.
Principal Clinical / Technical Duties — Patient Care
· Conducts assessments; diagnoses and manages acute and chronic conditions.
· Obtains medical history and performs age-appropriate physical exams.
· Orders and interprets diagnostic tests.
· Identifies risk factors and develops individualized care plans.
· Evaluates treatment effectiveness and adjusts plans as needed.
· Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies.
· Educates patients and families and communicates care plans clearly.
· Documents care promptly and responds to patient calls timely.
· Utilizes MGRMC and community referrals appropriately.
· Upholds patient-centered care, cultural sensitivity, and confidentiality.
